2010 JUNIOR PEE WEE COACHING STAFF

Antoine McCall (Head Coach)

My wife, Angie, and I live in 4S Ranch with our son, Jelani. We have lived in San Diego since 1993 and have been residents of 4S Ranch for 5 years. Jelani will be playing his 7th season of football this year on the Jr Pee Wee team. This past Spring, he played running back and corner back. My wife, Angie, is our team mom.  I am proud to say that last fall, I lead our team to an undefeated season 8-0!

I grew up loving the game of football and played running back for most of my football career. I have coached 7 seasons of football with 4S Ranch from Flag to now, Jr Pee Wee. I volunteered for the position as my son Jelani is a Die Hard football fan. He fell in love with football when we took him to his first Charger game in 2006.  I had also coached a few seasons of soccer for Jelanis team.  My daytime profession is a coaching consultant for  World Renown Peak Performance Coach/ Motivational Speaker, Tony Robbins. I believe the skills that I use daily with my coaching clients works hand in hand with my experience in coaching the boys on the field and more importantly, building the character of a champion. My wife and I run our own Independent Hip Hop record label, we are very active in our church (The Rock)while  also serving on the DNYF football board (I’m the Coaches Rep).

We are busy people but we are committed to making this a rewarding season with you and your children. I coach from the heart and teach about discipline, dedication, desire, drive, and team work. Recently, I’ve had the great fortune of working alongside with some of the most respected players in the NFL Darren Sproles and Lorenzo Neal.  Our son has been trained at Velocity with ex Charger Mike Ricks and some of the most talented athletes. This summer, Jelani and about ½ of the team trained at Cross Fit. With my coaching experience to date, I am excited to see this Fall season unfold because I know that we have an amazing season ahead of us.  I look forward to working with each one of your children and getting to know the families on a very intimate level.

Chris Staal (Assistant Defensive Coach)

Hello Nighthawk families! My name is Chris Staal and I have been the defensive coordinator in 4S Ranch on Coach Antoine’s team for the past five seasons. I became a coach initially to bond with, and spend more time with, my son Conner. However, coaching quickly became a passion of mine. I consider myself a dad first, friend second and coach third. This order serves as a reminder to me of the priorities in my life. Please know that I take my commitment to coaching and your child’s learning experience seriously. I hold myself to the same, if not higher standards, as I do the young men on our team:

·         Always give 110% effort…in football and in life.

·         No matter what the task, approach it with the best of attitudes.

·         Conditioning, fundamentals and unity are the foundation of our future success.

“Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming.
John Wooden

Thank you for the honor of allowing me to be a part of your child’s life experience.

Chad Mitten (Assistant Coach)

Hi my name is Chad Mitten, My wife, Melissa and 2 kids, Samantha and Jake, have lived in 4S for about 4 years and we have lived in San Diego since 1997. My son Jake played on Coach Antoine's Mitey Mites since Fall of 2008  and absolutely LOVES it. I had played football from the time I was a Mitey Mites to my Senior year in High School. I also played Track and Field for 4 years in High school. We all strive to be more active in our children's lives and could not think of a better activity to spend quality bonding time with my son and try to mentor him into being a better person. As a parent standing on the sidelines  and seeing the Attitude, Hard work, and Determination that the team had developed, I knew that this was a special team for my son to be a part of. I love the game of Football and to be a part of this Jr Pee Wee team is an honor. I also serve on the Board as Media and Publicity Representative. I look forward to working with all the kids and coaches and being a part of a successful season.

Roberto Guerrero (Assistant Coach)

Hi my name is Robert Guerrero, my family and I moved to San Diego 8 years ago. It's quite a change when you move from a town that has five thousand people to a city that has over a million people. We love the San Diego area. My wife, Kym and I have been married for 16 years. We have two daughters Myckena and Rylee, and our son Nathan. We all love the game of football. It seems that when football season is over we can't wait for it to start again. It is truly a family sport. This will be my sons 6 season of tackle football. I love football, and played in High school but never had the opportunity that our boys have now to learn and play the game with such confidence and enthusiasm. It's a sport of excitement, dedication, hard work, and a TEAM SPORT. I can't wait for this season to start and be able to help each one of the boys and coaching staff in any way I can. I'm truly honored to be part of the coaching staff and have the opportunity to see the boys grow from day one to the end of the season. I myself work in financing and deal with many different attitudes everyday, and have learned when we work as a team more can get done then working as an individual. I can't wait for the season to start.

Daina Ponce (Assistant Coach)

Hello Nighthawk Parents.  My name is Daina Ponce and I am an assistant coach for the Jr. Pee Wee team.  This is my second season on Coach Antoine's staff.  I thoroughly enjoy being apart of this family.  I enjoy being a positive role model to the boys.  My main joy of coaching comes from the look on the boys faces when they set a goal and accomplish it.  This shows them that hard work and diligence will get them to where the want to be... an undefeated, number one team.

Richie Caciedo (Assistant Coach)

My first experience with Del Norte Youth football was serving as the head coach of our Sophomore Green Team Spring 2010 Season.  My girlfriend’s son wanted to give football a shot and because I love coaching kids, I offered to fill in where there was a need. In the process, I fell in love with coaching youth football and the Del Norte Organization.

My other passion is working with Special Olympics. I love to work where I can make a difference in the lives of our youth.  I am in the military and enjoy serving our country. Look forward to working closely with your children.

Nano Sacay (Assistant Coach)

I’ve been coaching football for 20 years now and I’ve coached all throughout San Diego- South Bay, Balboa, San Digueito, RB, 4S, RB High and Olympia HS. My philosophy about the football experience is to  make football like family!  It’s all about the kids and making friendships. Back in 2006, I helped launch 4S Ranch Falcons which is now the Del Norte Nighthawks.  Some of my coaching accomplishments that I am most proud of are: Taking the 4S Ranch Pee Wee team to Nationals in 2007 and  getting the San Diego Championship for the 4S Ranch Unlimited Division in 2008. I have also served on the board for the 4S Falcons as well as other boards.

I currently live in Poway with my two sons who are 12 and 14. I am the Director of Engineering for a company in Solana Beach. I attend the Rock Church.  I am very much looking forward to coaching your kids this season!

Angie McCall (Team Mom)

I fell in love with football the moment I saw the love of the game burning in my son Jelani’s eyes.  It inspired me to stand behind his passion and to encourage him to do what he loves! This is my 7th season as team mom and I am committed to delivering the best that this season has to offer.  I like to consider the role of a team mom as the Jack-of-all-trades~ you must be good at multi-tasking and juggling many roles simultaneously while never losing sight of the ultimate goal.  My number one responsibility is to support the Jr Pee Wee team as a whole starting with the coaches, the players, and the parents.  I am committed to doing this through effective and consistent communication with everyone involved.  I will also insure that all the necessary roles are being supported.  I am honored to represent the team and I take my role very seriously. I also serve on the Executive Board of Directors as Secretary. For the past 11 years I‘ve worked as a Senior Sales Executive for Tony Robbins and it has taught me to do what you love and add value to others in the process.  I am looking forward to another season of excitement, joy, laughter, courage, and victory together.  You’ll find me cheering along the sidelines, filling water bottles, making sure the boys have snack, and ensuring that everything runs smoothly on game day.
